Schools, Juvenile Court at odds over bad behavior

“(A 16-year-old) refused to cooperate and do any of his work. When corrected, (the student) became belligerent and refused to leave the class calling the teacher an (expletive), which caused a disturbance among the other students present.”

The student was taken to the juvenile detention center and charged with disorderly conduct, according to a petition filed in Madison County Juvenile Court.
